Some teams out there practice in non-conforming length pools.

if you want to know exactly how your cycles and goal times should be lining up, just run a test set in the pool.  I would recommend either the 3 x 300 set or the 400/200 set.  This will give you a baseline for that pool.  Now, if you set your profile to that baseline, when you write a workout, it will get you the proper speeds.  You will need to start calling the lengths 50’s or 25’s.  A 40 yard pool, just call it a 50 and you are in business.  If it is a 65 foot pool, just call one length a 25 even though it isn’t officially seventy five feet long.
