Most coaches really know every detail of their top athletes.  They set the standard for your team and your workouts.  They tend to drive the goals for the team, so everything trickles down.

do you know your middle lanes and most developmental swimmers as well?  Most likely, you know enough to coach them, but odds are they are neglected.  Not because you are doing so on purpose, there are just small differences, or large ones, that effect abilities.  I can assure you that the swimmers know when the coach is just winging it with them and that they don't really know their true abilities.  I have been on both sides as top of the group and lost in the pack and it was obvious when the coach was focused in on others.

this is easily overcome using SwiftDuck.  If you plan your workouts with your top swimmers in mind, you can hone in on their details, but at the same time, get to know the true capabilities of all of your swimmers.  You adjust the baseline speed to each individual or group, and you can immediately see their true potential.

You also get to see instant modifications to sets to get them done at the same time, from your fastest to slowest lanes.

by knowing your swimmers abilities better, you will improve your communication, trust, and relationship with your athletes.
